DACONO, Colo. — Cassidy Hinds delivered one of her strongest Super Late Model performances to date this weekend at Colorado National Speedway, charging from eighth to second in the feature event after the team found major improvements in the handling of the No. 3C Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Super Late Model.

After fighting a tight-handling race car during practice, Hinds and her team continued making adjustments throughout the day, eventually unlocking the speed they had been searching for. The Colorado driver qualified fifth and maintained that position in the dash race before putting together an impressive charge during the main event.

Starting eighth in the feature, Hinds methodically worked through the field and spent the closing laps battling inside the top positions before securing an impressive runner-up finish in front of the hometown crowd at CNS.

“After struggling to get the car to not handle tight off the corner during practice, we finally gained some speed for qualifying,” said Hinds. “I qualified fifth and started and finished fifth in the dash race. Then for the main we didn’t want to change too much, which helped us for the better. I started eighth in the main and finished second after battling for 10 laps.”

The strong performance marked an important milestone for Hinds and the team after continuing to search for the right setup combination in the Super Late Model program.

“After seasons of struggling to get the Super Late to handle properly, we finally got it going good,” Hinds added. “I am so proud of my team for all of their hard work and what we were able to accomplish this weekend. I have high hopes for the rest of the season.”

Known as one of the fan favorites at Colorado National Speedway, Hinds once again spent time with fans throughout the evening signing autographs and participating in fan giveaways following the event.

Hinds also thanked her crew and marketing partners for their continued support throughout the season.

“I can’t thank my crew enough for all of their hard work and my sponsors for all of their help this season,” said Hinds.

Up next for Hinds will be a Super Late Model double-feature weekend at Colorado National Speedway as the team looks to continue building momentum following the breakout finish.
